Steps to Create a Cloudflare R2 Storage Token for a Bucket

Step 1: Manage R2 API Tokens

  • Login to your account
  • Click on R2 from the left hand side
  • Click on Overview

Step 2: Create API Token

  • Click on Create API Token

Step 3: Token Customization

  • Give the token a name
  • Change the permissions to Edit
  • Click on Create API Token

Step 4: Copy the Access Key & Secret Keys

  • Copy the access key and secret key
  • Add them to SimpleBackups
    • Notion image

Step 5: Copy the Bucket URL

  • Click on your bucket from the list of R2 buckets under your account
  • Copy the whole bucket URL, including the bucket name, in this case, my-bucket.
