Error codes

Error ES900:Your account key is missing, please reconnect your server to SimpleBackups.

Sometimes displayed as:

"your account key is missing, please reconnect your server to SimpleBackups."

It means that SimpleBackups is not connected correctly to this server anymore. To solve the issue, you either need to:

  • Edit your server from SimpleBackups dashboard and re-enter your SSH username, password
  • Or, if you use an SSH key to connect to your servers, you will need to re-run the server connection command displayed on your SimpleBackups server's dashboard
Error ES905: Connection to this server has been invalidated, please reconnect your server to SimpleBackups.

Sometimes displayed as:

"connection to this server has been invalidated, please reconnect your server to SimpleBackups."

It could mean a few things:

  1. SimpleBackups is unable to confirm that this server still belongs to your account
  1. Your have changed your SimpleBackups temporary directory from the dashboard and have not validated the server connection afterwards

To solve the issue, you either need to:

  • Edit your server from SimpleBackups dashboard and re-enter your SSH username, password
  • Or, if you use an SSH key to connect to your servers, you will need to re-run the server connection command displayed on your SimpleBackups servers dashboard.
 
Error ES915: Please reconnect your server to SimpleBackups
"Please reconnect your server to SimpleBackups"

To solve the issue, you either need to:

  • Edit your server from SimpleBackups dashboard and re-enter your SSH username, password
  • Or, if you use an SSH key to connect to your servers, you will need to re-run the server connection command displayed on your SimpleBackups servers dashboard.

Troubleshooting

I cannot validate my server.

→ Make sure your server allows SimpleBackups to connect to it by whitelisting IP addresses.
